What is NIE?
NIE, or Newspapers in Education, enhances learning by providing classrooms with the most current textbook around; the newspaper. This readership program is designed to help students practice thinking and analytical skills by exposing them to current events in their community and the world around them. Specific NIE activity guides help teachers use the newspaper to enhance their lessons and meet state standards. NIE is available to elementary, middle and high schools and can be integrated into every subject area (such as math, social science, language arts, science history and fine arts). Print copies of our newspapers are available on a limited basis for 15 cents per copy. Please contact us via email to see if you qualify.
What is an e-Edition?
An e-Edition, or an electronic edition, is an exact replica of the newspaper that is accessed online. The daily contents of the newspaper are transmitted electronically and available to you at any computer with an Internet connection.
